Is
smart phone technology changing the way we live?
Smart phone technology has become a big part of people’s
lives, people all around the world are using smartphones but is it affecting
the way we live?
Mobile phones have
changed from year to year. They used to be simple, big mobiles that could call
people but not do much else .Now mobile phones have expanded into a worldwide
sensation, with different types, styles and sizes. But unlike its ancestors the
newest smartphones are slim and very light, they now have social
networking/internet, apps, video/camera, texting and much more.
Thanks to this new way of socialising, people will be able
to communicate by a touch of a button, but experts are asking “is this really
communicating, not being able to talk face to face. Talking to each other has
lately become typing words and sending them. This is fine sometimes or if
you’re in a hurry, but it’s not the same as being with the person your texting.
This could affect your confidence to speak in public and affect the
relationship you have with the person on the other side of the phone.”
On the other hand mobile phones are useful they can quickly
contact people in the case of an emergency, they can look up details you may
need or they can just occupy your whilst your waiting for something. They also
allow communication all around the world, if your friend moves to a different
country how you can contact them when their thousands of miles away, well
thanks to new smartphone technology you can contact them using face time, calling/texting, social
networking… Facebook, twitter etc.
In my opinion smartphones are great I use them all the time.
I find them very easy to use and they are great for communicating with my
friends, I don’t think my life would be the same without smartphones. When I’m
not home, through mobiles I can be sure that people at home are okay. I think
we use mobiles so often that we forget about what they do and how we use them
in our life. Having a mobile saved one member of my family, because we were
able to use our mobile to contact the emergency services.
i agree with your point and i found some useful information
